MOUNTAIN BIKE LIFE

MTB Life started back in 2017 to create awesome group rides for children with adult supervision.

At MTB Life, children aged 6 to 16 from all schools are welcome to join. Basic bike handling skills are taught, including jumping, doing drops, bike maintenance and ripping trails. There’s so much fun to be had while making new friends. Join MTB Life for some bike adventures and good times!

The following classes are offered for children of all skill levels: Beginners, Intermediate, Moderate, Advanced, Racing Snakes, and The Arende. Adults can partake in weekly skills and endurance training, along with E-Bike training every two weeks.

ROCKHOPPERS: TRAIL RIDING SKILLS WHILE HAVING FUN

At the Rockhoppers training group, we welcome kids who love riding bikes for fun and those who enjoy taking part in cross-country events. Our training sessions run from Monday to Thursday, kicking off at 4:00 PM and wrapping up at 6:00 PM. Depending on your age and skills, we’ll find the perfect group for you.

Our training is all about having a blast while gaining the skills to handle a bike in any type of terrain. We’ll be doing lots of cool activities like slalom, learning how to brake, mastering corners, riding berms and tackling drops.

Our head coach, Carolin Janik, brings 10 years of coaching experience, and our assistant coach, Mike Baartman, is a recent addition to the team. Both of them are certified as level 2 coaches.

Physically Active Youth (PAY) Namibia is a community-based after-school centre located in Katutura, Windhoek. For over 23 years, PAY has provided a safe and supportive environment for underprivileged children and young people, helping them grow into healthy, educated, and empowered members of society.

BOOTCAMP BARKERS

Founded by Happy Dog School in March 2024, the Bootcamp Barkers can be found near the Kleine Kuppe Gate on Saturday Mornings. Offering advanced Force Free Dog Training, the classes are fun for the dogs and their owners. Classes include tasks such as quick response whistle recalls, hide and seek, distance control and loose leash walking skills. Fine-tuning skills are done through clicker training. To top it off, the class ends with a calming down coffee shop exercise on the grass, followed by a mug of the best coffee in Windhoek.
